#i think this photoset is absolutely perfect tbh. #damon has always cared. #he just forgot how to show it for the longest time until he met elena. #elena made him want to feel those feelings again. #elena made him want to care. #and slowly by growing to care (and eventually fall in love) with her… damon started to care about everyone else around him again too. #i think damon truly fell in love with elena because she not only cared about him but inspired him to care about others around him as well… #i think that’s what made me fall in love with damon’s character from the very beginning. #we all knew he always cared. we were just waiting for someone to make him show it again. #and then… elena came along and did exactly that.
